The are images from in and around my home town of Bargoed. Bargoed in Caerphilly County, South Wales in the United Kingdom is a former mining town and one of the key towns in the Rhymney Valley. The colliery was sunk in 1897 with the first coal being raised in 1901. The colliery eventually closed in 1977.
Photographing smoke trails gives some weird and wonderful shapes and patterns. When this is combined with photoshop, it is surprising what can be achieved. An abstract smoke trail image. Original photograph manipulated and coloured in photoshop. It is worth remembering that these images can be created in any number of different colors so, if you like the design but not the colors, get in touch with me and I can create something individual for you.
Light painting with a crystal ball placed on a glass surface and using coloured led lights as a light source. This gives amazing abstract images using both reflections and the refraction of the light through the glass. The movement of the light source also gives a great sense of movement.
