The road bridge, Shiel Bridge, crosses the River Shiel at the south end of Loch Shiel. The village of Acharacle is nearby.

The Old Bridge across the River Shiel, Acharacle, Argyll, Scotland was built by Thomas Telford as part of his road construction from Corran Ferry to Kinlochmoidart. It is a narrow single arch bridge which sits in amongst trees and was superseded by a larger bridge in 1899. The photo was taken on a June day 2019 after heavy rain and shows a good flow of water running under it.
