Crossing the River Dyfi at Machynlleth, Wales. A sunny winter scene. The crossing originally had a bridge made of wood in the 1500s then rebuilt in stone in the 1600s. It was rebuilt in stone again in the 1800s.

The Roman Tower of Hercules stands 55 meters high and overlooks the North Atlantic coast of Spain. It was built in the 2nd Century and is near the city of A Caruña, Galicia. It is still used as a lighthouse today.
