St John's the Evangelist Catholic Church on South Parade in Bath, well worth a visit, photographers are welcomed and the interior of this church beats the Abbey hands down, stunning place.

Roundway Hill Iron Age Fort is located on the top of the Downs above the Wiltshire town of Devizes. This picture was captured on 4x5 large format Fomapan 100 black and white film on a very windy day, as such there is an element of movement in the grass and tree.
Verity is a statue by Damien Hirst, she stands at the entrance to Ilfracombe harbour on the North Devon coast. Very imposing she is too and quite an acquired taste too, she divides opinion as should probably be expected with a work by Hirst.

Cadley Garage is a traditional old garage located just south of Marlborough on the A346, Swindon to Salisbury road, the owner is well known in the classic car world.
The building used to be a coach house used by the carriage driver of the local land owner when the land owner visited the church across the road, it is said the coachman would watch the entrance of the church from the upstairs window so that he could have the coach and horses at the entrance of the church just in time for the end of the service.

Roundway Hill Fort sits above Devizes in Wiltshire, these trees can be seen for miles around. This photograph was taken on 4x5 inch sheet Fuji Acros as the sun went down.
The Burnham on Sea Low Lighthouse, there is also a High Lighthouse but this is inland in the middle of a housing estate, this lighthouse is on the beach about 100 meters from the high tide line. When taking this photograph I have used large format RPX 25 4x5 inch sheet film for a long exposure to get that silky smooth feel to the water. It was quite a windy day so you may notice that the top of the lighthouse looks a little soft, difficult to avoid with the equipment I had with me that day, I don't feel it detracts from the overall feel of the photograph.
Burnham on Sea, Low Lighthouse, stands out on the beach at the mercy of everything the weather has to throw at it, this shot was taken on a spring tide when the waves are breaking against the base of the sand dunes. Shot on 4x5 inch sheet Fuji Acros, this was a 20 minute exposure

Swindon's old covered market, been shut for a wile now and the site is liable to be redeveloped. I wanted to to take this shot to save a view that one day will be gone. In the background is the tower that stands over the Brunel Shopping centre, another landmark that can be seen from miles around. Shot on 4x5 inch sheet Kodak T-Max 100 and cropped down to 3:2 ration.

Sunrise up at the Old Man of Storr, reflected in a small lochen dark peat stained water on the side of the mountain, on the Isle of Skye. This image was captured on Kodak Technical Pan 25 using 4x5 sheet film in an old 1960s MPP microtechical camera. Its quite a climb up to this point, particularly carrying this camera equipment and tripod, the journey back down is particularly difficult on your legs.
The pebble beach, probably the biggest pebbles to be found anywhere, at Elgol on the Isle of Skye, long exposure to show the movement in the water, came very close to getting very wet feet, what we do for our love of places like this.
Neist Point on the Isle of Skye, if your worried by heights then its probably not the best place to visit, this was taken from the top of the cliffs using colour 4x5 sheet film, converted to B&W to bring out the rugged feel to those cliffs

The beautiful Talker Beach on the Isle of Skye with its unusual blend of rocky foreshore and a mix of white and black sand that never fully blends leaving lovely patterns when the tide is out. This picture was captured on a very windy and wet day in February 2019 and shows the left hand headland of the bay. Shot using a 1960s large format field camera loaded with a stunning but unfortunately now rare Fuji film stock, the original negative is quite capable of being printed large enough to cover a wall.
The Old Manse would have been the home of the priest that looked after the Church of Kilchrist on the Isle of Skye, it is about 20 minutes walk from the church and very exposed and isolated, life must have been far from comfortable when this was still in use. This is only a few miles from Broadford, just off the road to Elgon. Shot on Large Format film using a now rare Fuji film.
Probably the best known feature on the Isle of Skye, the pinnacles used to be part of the cliff that stands behind them but over time they have split away and slid down the hill. It is quite a blimp to get to the point where this photograph was taken, particularly with this much snow on the ground, but without a doubt this was the best day of my whole trip, myself and a few friends spent over 5 hours up there, making it to both sides of the standing stones. Absolutely breathtaking place. this was shot on a medium format film camera using my favourite black and white film, Fuji Acros.
Just one of so many features on the shore at Elgol on the Isle of Skye, the beaches tend to be covered in the biggest pebbles known to man making it quite difficult to walk out to these stunning places
The beach to the West side of Duntulm view point on the north west coast of Skye in typical wet windy winter weather, quite surprised I managed to keep the camera steady for this exposure, one of the windiest days I have known during my visits to Skye, this was during Storm Eric 2019.
