Castlebank Park is situated in Lanark and at the heart of rural Lanarkshire and the Clyde Valley . History at the park can be dated back to the 12th century , William Wallace is said to have made his escape through the woodlands here after killing the English Governor in the nearby Castle . The wooden carving in the photograph depicts William Wallace It is now a very pleasant park area enjoyed by many people .
